Guiding Bangladesh's textile factories

The Readymade Garment Sustainability Council (RSC) aims to enhance environmental standards within Bangladesh's textile industry.

A comprehensive environmental performance assessment framework (EPAF) is necessary to align factory practices with national laws and international standards, ensuring sustainable and compliant operations.

The EPAF is developed by the consultant for RSC.

The EPAF will assess factory performance in four key areas, using national (e.g. Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act, Bangladesh Environment Conservation Rules) and industry benchmarks, including cross-cutting industry benchmarks like Higg FEM and Amfori BEPI

AMC's Role

We developed part of the Environmental Performance Assessment Framework for RSC related to water usage, sludge waste discharge, wastewater treatment and discharge.

The development of the EPAF is based on national regulations, international standards like ISO 14001, Higgs FEM, ZDHC and other standards used by international buyers.
