Project Focus

The Multi-Donor Action “ASEAN EU-German Climate Action Programme” (CAP) contributes to the sustainable transition of the ASEAN region.

It focuses on strengthening ASEAN structures and processes to make climate policy more effective and contributes to anchoring climate policy issues more systematically in ASEAN policy documents, particularly the NDCs implementation, promoting individual, and institutional capacity and interlink regional and national climate policies and initiatives.

The project outcome includes three output areas

• Supporting ASEAN bodies to engage in climate policy processes more effectively
• Increasing the visibility of ASEAN in international climate dialogues
• Supporting ASEAN and the member states to improve coordination of their respective climate policies and actions.

AMC's Role

AMC is responsible for carrying out these tasks:

• Desk research to assess the dynamic of land use changes and identification of main drivers.
• Conducting on-site interviews and assessments on FOLU Net Sink 2030 strategy in Aceh and West Kalimantan.
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders.
• Developing case studies of successful land-use practices in Aceh and West Kalimantan.
